Jason and Ryan met at the Okanagan College years ago. A few months back, Ryan came into the store with his two adorable daughters looking for some hockey cards. They are all HUGE Canucks fans and the girls were hoping to pick up a Quinn Hughes card. After they attended National Hockey Card Day and different Break Nights, they were hooked on collecting Upper Deck hockey cards!
Besides working and hanging out with his girls, Ryan writes for the Canucks Army Blog, is usually sporting Always90Four and makes up 1/3 of the PP1 Podcast.
Check out some of his articles here:
Ted Wong and Brayden Ursel make up the other two thirds of PP1 and we look forward to hanging out with them more in the future. Brady is the co-site expert on The Canuck Way while Ted maintains that he doesn’t write anywhere but he has some things to say on Twitter.
These are three great guys from Kelowna “bringing the heat and spitting the takes.” It’s usually Canucks-based conversation on the podcast but with no current hockey games, they decided to branch out.
In comes Jason and Players Choice Sports. We’ve been wanting to partner on a project and with a new product O-Pee-Chee Platinum being released, we thought it was a great week to introduce the boys to hockey cards.
With the four guys in four different locations, they battled a few technical difficulties but had a great time. We had sent over a few packs of Upper Deck O-Pee-Chee Platinum for them to open on air and Ted and Ryan had some crazy good cards pulled while Brady… not so much. Jason let them pick his brain about the card game and dropped some truth bombs about the prices of a few cards floating out there right now. We look forward to doing this again soon with the boys – now that they all see how much opening cards is! Thanks for having us PP1.
