Now in its ninth year, National Hockey Card Day, is a day of celebration for Canadian hockey card collectors and hockey fans throughout the country! At Players Choice, we make it a BIG celebration. This year is going to be bigger than ever with more prizes, more games, our Annual Scavenger Hunt, and lots of free cards.
Check out the checklist for this year’s Canadian base set featuring 15 cards. All players either play on Canadian teams or come from the Great White North.
The checklist is broken into three subsets: Canada’s Rookies, Pride of Canada and Hockey Heroes. Nick Suzuki and Erik Brannstrom are among the NHL freshmen in the set. Other big names include Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon and Joe Sakic. The 16th and final card in the Canadian set belongs to Canucks rookie, Quinn Hughes and if available with all $10 Upper Deck purchases on February 15th.
The new Mascot inserts feature furry friends from a handful of Canadian teams including Carlton the Bear from Toronto and Calgary’s Harvey the Hound. There’s also former Montreal Expos cheerleader, Youpii who now finds himself cheering for the Canadiens. Three autographs, the toughest pulls in packs, represent hockey’s past, present and future. Lanny McDonald, Marc-Andre Fleury and Ryan Poehling are the available signatures.
We can’t wait to see everyone at Players Choice on Saturday February 15th between 10am-7pm to join in the celebration of National Hockey Card Day and collect this year’s set of hockey cards!
